Trees around the world

treefest.jpg
One of the first things travelers notice when they visit a new landscape is the trees. New England’s mix of pines and maples, Florida’s tall palms, California’s redwoods, the scrubby runts that survive near treeline or in the far north. To explore that diversity, a group of bloggers has started an online “Festival of the Trees.”

The latest edition features photos, poetry, and essays from Australia, Mexico, the Berkshires, and the rain forest. Posts are being collected now for Festival No. 4, if you want to join in.
