National Geographic Launch New Green Guide Magazine

ggmag2.jpgHaving started as a newsletter in the early nineties, the environmentally-conscious Green Guide didn’t make online until 2002 and has only now become popular enough to cut it with the big boys in publishing, not that it will have too many problems with National Geographic being it’s big brother.

The first issue discusses more than travel issues, the Green Guide offers advice on living green, how to save money while saving the planet and tips on how to reduce your carbon footprint.

In keeping with the ethos of the guide, the magazine is printed on paper made from post-consumer-waste recycled paper and sustainable resources, they’ve also used sustainable ink which contains no heavy metals and is derived from renewable sources including soy, corn and linseed.

For those who want to go one step further in saving the planet’s resources, you can opt for the digital version of the GG and have it delivered via email, straight to your virtual door.
