Volunteering can get you out to places you wouldn’t see, meeting people you wouldn’t meet, doing things you wouldn’t do… isn’t that the whole point of travelling? Travelocity is launching a new project to promote volunteer travel experiences, called Travel for Good.
“We believe that travel can transform not only your perspective, but the vitality of communities, places, and people. And that it can ultimately enrich the world itself — because whenever you engage with the world, there is an opportunity to bridge long distances, fill gaps, and make a much-needed difference,” the company says. “We believe we can better the world, one trip at a time.”
Travel For Good’s Change Ambassadors program aims to make it easy for travelers to access volunteer opportunities around the world. More details at the Travelocity site.
